Star Wars Battlefront 2 Open Beta Early October
EA and DICE will begin the Open Beta for Star Wars Battlefront 2 this October and a couple of days earlier for those who pre-order. What's in the beta?
If you were lucky enough to be a part of the Closed Alpha test that ran recently then you'll be familiar with what's on the menu, but there's a little something extra this time as we get a taste of space combat too.
The following information about the Battlefront 2 Open Beta is reported by the PlayStation.Blog.
Galactic Assault on Naboo
• Play as either Separatist droid army or the Republic Clones on the streets of Theed in 40 vs. 40 player battles
• Four different classes of droid and trooper let you focus on certain tactics
• Star Wars heroes are available to be earned and go on a rampage
• Episode I vehicles are pilotable
Starfighter Assault
• Take to space as you pilot Rebel Alliance and Imperial Navy starfighters above a planet
• Further details about this multiplayer mode will arrive later
• It is presumed to be 40 vs. 40 players but unconfirmed at this time
Star Wars Battlefront 2's Open Beta begins October 6th, 2017 but pre-orders will get you access October 4th.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 November 17th, 2017.
