Pandemic Studios' Destroy All Humans! Rated For PlayStation 4 As Likely PS2 Classics Re-Release
Filthy humans. Let's be honest, we have proved ourselves unworthy. The space empire of the Furons agree and have dispatched Cryptosporidium-136 to correct the problem.
Originally a PlayStation 2 and Xbox action game from Pandemic Studios and publisher THQ, Destroy All Humans! looks set to re-release itself on the PlayStation 4 after 11 years. Sadly both studio and publisher have since been made extinct.
PEGI appears to have outed a return for the original game and its re-appearance is likely going to take the form of a PS2 Classics title. This means it'll be a straight-over port, much like the Xbox 360 release back in 2008 was over Xbox Live.
The entire game embraces a campy late 1950s of America, packed full of retro science fiction. We go on foot and in our handy flying saucer that can level whole areas as we take on the inferior human race.
There have been sequels and spin-offs to the series, with Destroy All Humans! 2 set during the psychedelic 1960s and a 1970s set Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed and Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon.
Nordic Games, who have since rebranded as THQ Nordic, are said to be kickstarting the Furon plans for Earth once again with a new Destroy All Humans!, but all is quiet for now.
Destroy All Humans! releases on PlayStation 4 'soon'.
