White Sands

The game transports you to a not-so-distant future, where Earth has suffered a devastating blow from a Solar superstorm, a phenomenon known as a coronal mass ejection (CME). This cataclysmic event pushed Earth's magnetic field beyond the planet's circumference, allowing massive amounts of solar radiation to penetrate the surface. The resulting surge in temperature and radiation proved lethal to much of the surface life and led to DNA mutations in organisms as minuscule as viruses. Following the conclusion of the CME, Earth's magnetic field eventually resumed its protective role, but by then, life on the planet was barely clinging to survival. Years passed, and the surface remained an exceedingly perilous environment. Humans were compelled to establish settlements deep underground or soaring high above the ground. Meanwhile, mutants and marauding gangs roamed the wasteland, driven by the relentless quest for sustenance, drink, and valuable resources.
