Developed by Ankake Spa, creators of 2016’s Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity, Touhou: New World is the studio’s next exciting fan-made entry in the ever-evolving Touhou Project universe. Touhou: New World takes players back to the enchanting realm of Gensokyo, where humans and youkai spirits coexist. Despite its occasional turbulence, life in Gensokyo is generally tranquil. However, an outsider's obsession with the supernatural leads to the breach of the mystical barrier that safeguards Gensokyo, unleashing chaos on both this realm and the outside world. In this time of crisis, shrine maiden Reimu and her magician companion Marisa must venture forth to uncover the true cause of the pandemonium and bring peace to both worlds. As they journey through Gensokyo, they must evade a barrage of magical bullets and confront a host of mystical creatures.
