The Woods Are Real

Joba and Quincy epitomize the epitome of privilege in their fiercely progressive Brooklyn bubble. They meticulously curate their lives with the right purchases, donate generously to esteemed foundations, and champion every noble cause. However, their idyllic world is shaken when their friend Caleb returns from a transformative pilgrimage, challenging the very core of their bleeding-heart liberalism. Initially skeptical of Caleb's newfound beliefs, Quincy finds herself drawn into the intrigue when Joba insists they accept an invitation to the same off-grid retreat. Upon arrival, they discover a quaint cabin nestled in the woods, adorned with relics of a bygone era: a rotary phone, religious symbols, and vintage contraptions like the Edison machine. Their unease heightens when an enigmatic record ominously delivers a foreboding message. To their horror, they realize their bank accounts have been drained, their digital footprint erased, and their family enterprises crumbling.
