The Order: 1886

The Order: 1886 is a single-player action-adventure video game that will be exclusive to Sony’s Playstation 4 console. It is being developed by Ready at Dawn and SCE Santa Monica, and is being published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was announced at the 2013 Electronic Entertainment (E3) Expo event in Los Angeles. The game is set in an alternate-history Victorian London, where an old order of Knights fight to keep the world safe from half breed monsters who are a combination of animal and man. The Order introduces a unique mythology that will fuse actual history (real world places, figures, and events) with twists on familiar myths and legends to create an alternate history from the one we know today. The majority of humans feared these half breeds and war broke out and despite inferior numbers, the half breed’s animal strength gave them the upper hand in centuries of conflict. This will be a single-player game, with no multiplayer mode planned or announced.
