The Dads

This contemplative reflection on the essences of fatherhood, brotherhood, and manhood brings together five fathers of transgender children with Dennis Shepard, the father of Matthew Shepard, a gay college student whose tragic death shocked the nation. They convene for a weekend fishing retreat in the tranquil countryside of Oklahoma. Amidst the serene act of casting their lines into the river, these men discover a shared bond that transcends race, location, and age: the unwavering, unconditional love they hold for their children.
