Sting

On a cold, stormy night in New York City, a mysterious object crashes through the window of a dilapidated apartment building, shattering the stillness. From the shattered remnants emerges an egg, harbinger of an enigmatic entity—a peculiar little spider. Charlotte, a spirited 12-year-old with a fervent love for comic books, stumbles upon the creature. Despite her stepfather Ethan's earnest attempts to bond over their mutual creation, Fang Girl, Charlotte feels disconnected. With her mother and Ethan preoccupied by the arrival of a new baby and their own struggles, Charlotte finds solace in the peculiar spider, whom she names Sting. As Charlotte's bond with Sting deepens, so does its size, morphing into a monstrous entity. Its hunger for blood grows insatiable, leading to the disappearance of neighbors' pets and eventually the neighbors themselves. As panic grips the building's inhabitants, including Charlotte's family and its eccentric denizens, they realize they're trapped in a deadly game of cat and mouse with a gargantuan arachnid bent on human consumption. Charlotte stands as the sole possessor of the knowledge needed to halt the terror before it consumes them all.
