Saving Christmas (I)

Kirk is deeply fond of Christmas, but he discovers not everyone shares his enthusiasm. While enjoying a holiday party thrown by his sister, Bridgette, Kirk notices Bridgette?s husband showing serious Grinch-like grief. Christian even leaves the party, and Kirk wants to know why. He finds Christian in his car and learns his glum brother-in-law is just avoiding the materialistic merriment. Kirk uses this as an opportunity to defend the worldly holiday symbols and to explain how each tradition is steeped in the spirit of Christ. He helps Christian understand that Jesus Christ is still the reason behind the season.
