"Open" narrates the tale of Kristina, played by Lindsay Anne Williams, a woman navigating a tumultuous marriage, who becomes enamored with a former TV star and teen icon, portrayed by Jeremy London. Despite his once-flourishing career now in decline, Kristina finds herself in the midst of vivid, music video-esque hallucinations where she leads an 80's new wave band. The screenplay, which resonates with tones reminiscent of "Marriage Story" meeting "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World", is the collaborative work of Doleac and Williams. For the film's captivating ten original tracks, the duo joined forces with their recurring collaborator, composer Clifton Hyde, and Oliver Hofer, crafting a musical ambiance that's bound to resonate with enthusiasts of 80’s synth-infused post-punk.
