Jonathan Green is an English traveler who is given the task of exploring East Russia with the intent to eventually map it out. Through this journey he ends up in China and along the way makes many discoveries, become involved with romantic interests, and confront fantastical creatures as he continues his journey. He even comes face-to-face with Viy once again and learns about the difference between science and magic in this exciting, thrilling journey through East Russia and China.
