After releasing his first album, which turned out to be a failure, his only remaining solace is his passion for jazz—unfortunately, one that brings no financial benefit. To stay afloat in Evans City and pay off overdue rent, Morris takes a job at a local supermarket, which becomes increasingly overwhelming as his mental state deteriorates.
