Back on the Strip

Verna (Tiffany Haddish), a resilient mother, sends her dejected son Merlin (Spence Moore II) to Las Vegas, hoping to see him fulfill his aspirations of becoming a professional magician. However, Merlin's path takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Mr. Big (Wesley Snipes), the charismatic former leader of a legendary Black male stripper troupe, “The Chocolate Chips” (J.B. Smoove, Faizon Love, Bill Bellamy, and Gary Owen), at a dilapidated hotel. Suddenly, Merlin finds himself in a new kind of limelight. Now, with limited time, he must win back his love and assist the now out-of-practice and out-of-touch “Chips” in regaining their rhythm. To succeed, Merlin will have to draw upon his innate talent, the most extraordinary magic he possesses.
