Ian is a defiant teenager residing with his father on society's fringes. They scrape by, executing minor deceptions, aided by Ian's remarkable talent: he can cast visual illusions directly into others' minds. However, after inadvertently exposing his gift in public, a shadowy covert agency begins to pursue him. While on the run, Ian uncovers that he's not alone in possessing such abilities and realizes that everything he believed about his life is a fabrication.
