Alone (I)

An exotic virus is unleashed on the world turning millions of people into dangerous 'screamers.' One man has no choice but to lock himself in his apartment. Going outside is extremely dangerous. He discovers that a woman in a house across from his apartment complex courtyard is also attempting to hole up alone in her home to wait out the pandemic. The two manage to set up communication with each other as they attempt to work out an escape plan. An unusual relationship develops between the two survivors as they face the end of civilization as we know it.
