Jaguar’s long-awaited compact sports sedan. It will be called the XE.
A legitimate small sports sedan has been missing from Jaguar’s portfolio for too long, and the brand desperately needs something to compete with segment icons like the BMW 3-series lineup, Audi’s A4, and Mercedes’ C-class, as well as the latest Lexus IS. Introducing such a model should help Jaguar to continue its sales growth, as well as give buyers a smaller, less-expensive entry point to the brand.
